North Asheville Bakery – Mother & Son Bistro
Aside from our Bistro experience, we have a full on site bakery. We specialize in cakes, pies and cookies using all natural ingredients. During the winter time we like the restaurant to smell like our hot, just out of the oven specialty breads (sun-dried tomato and rosemary, 12 grain pumpernickel.) We make specialty cakes, from small occasions to large wedding cakes and we specialize in the whimsical "Topsy Turvy" style cakes. We have a French pastry chef that makes wonderful tarts and mousses and is getting ready to introduce Asheville to the French Macaroon!! There are many flavors from classical to new unique flavors that will be made available. Also look for our contest this spring where YOU will get a chance to invent a new flavor macaroon. The best flavor picked will win a dozen of the flavored macaroons they invented and have this flavor named in honor of them. We love having our customers/friends involved in what we love to do.
Dinner is Served at Mother & Son Bistro in Asheville
Every night is date night at the Bistro. We have a dinner menu that is elegant and affordable... Along with a wonderful wine list, our little Bistro is becoming the place to have dinner in N. Asheville. We have great seafood dishes from local pan seared trout to blackened salmon. We put an innovative twist on classic dishes like meatloaf and pot roast. From Thursday-Saturday we offer roast leg of lamb and Saturday night we offer a wonderful duck breast with a pomegranate-Chile sauce. We are currently expanding our menu to include more exotic dishes like Asian lettuce wraps. We hope you will join us for dinner soon and see why Mother & Son Bistro is the place to have dinner.

Asheville Lunch at Mother & Son Bistro
If you’re looking for a quick power lunch in the North Asheville Woodfin area, or care to sit and relax with friends for a while, we accommodate any lunch time needs. We have many fun and delicious sandwiches that have become local legends... Like our Chicken salad served on apple Danish bread to our hot Reuben sandwich with grilled thin sliced corn beef on our marble rye bread. We always have a minimum of 5 hot soups available that are made in house as well. Looking for something heartier? We have one of the best burgers around!! We also offer many hot daily lunch specials that will please any pallet.
Breakfast at Mother and Son Bistro in North Asheville
Mother and Son Bistro serves breakfast Monday through Friday from 9-11am and all day Saturday (9am-5pm). If you are in the North Asheville, Woodfin area, you can experience several fine choices including Eggs Benedict, French Toast made with Challah bread coated in granola, and the He-Man Breakfast which includes eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy, home fries, and fruit. Mother and Son is very willing to attempt accommodate any breakfast request you have. Several great omelets are also available. All of our omelets come with our delicious home fries or you can have the omelet served on a croissant as a sandwich.
Baked goods from breakfast are another draw when you come to Mother and Son Bistro. If you are in the Asheville North Carolina area, come by and check out the many baked items such as cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, etc.
The coffee and beverages served at Mother and Son Bistro include lattes, espressos, hot sipping chocolate (great health benefits), organic chai tea with soy, hot chocolate, mocha-chino and standard teas and coffees as well.
